HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT ARCHIFORMA?

I was looking for an architect who would take on our first project, as it was quite small. I passed Roberto's office sign when he was in Clifton Hill, and made contact.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH ARCHIFORMA?

After our first project, with which we delighted ( an upstairs renovation), we asked Roberto to design a garage with a studio on top.

Roberto came up with a great design, which the council rejected, so he modified it. He was extremely approachable and took our input seriously, even when my husband and I differed! He was imaginative, but understood the restrictions of inner city requirements.

We are extremely happy. With the results.

Roberto is extremely approachable, and listens to the client. He has flair and interest in good functional design.

WHAT MADE ARCHIFORMA'S DESIGN APPROACH DIFFERENT?

I am not widely experienced with architects, but I listen to my friends and their experiences!

I loved the way Roberto was adventurous in materials and his approach to fitting the building in with the streetscape, without emulating it.

WHAT MADE ARCHIFORMA'S DESIGN APPROACH DIFFERENT?

• Ensuring we were prepared with budget information and clear on what we wanted prior to the initial consultation

• Listening to us and asking critical questions in the initial consultation to ensure he fully understood our requirements

• Giving us an initial range of sketches with differing price points that would all meet our design requirements but at differing budgets. This did 2 things:

1. It made both parties clear about what was required

2. By us choosing the middle option (which was expected) it cemented the relationship because it showed we were genuine with our budget requirements and clear on what we wanted

3. It helped Archiforma understand the working relationship that would enfold

• Archiforma's designs were modern and different to anything we'd yet seen but with help on colour schemes and furnishings mage the design liveable. A lot of examples we'd seen previously didn't make this happen for us.

ANY OTHER FEEDBACK?

• Post our project with Archiforma, it is clear his designs and ideas are very forward thinking. It is now very noticeable that in up market establishments elements of his ideas used in our project are now being used by other architects that were not in vogue when we did our project.

• Whenever visitors come to around that haven't seen our place before, there reaction is always one of "WOW!!!!!". Those that come round regularly, nearly always comment on how fantastic our place is.
